TEMPLE FILLER
Starting at $1,500
Dermal filler is injected in the temple areas to help rejuvenate the upper third part of our face. As we age, the temple region becomes hollow showing signs of aging. Using a minimum of 1 syringe per side for someone with very minor temple hollowing, temple filler helps give back a youthful appearance. The number of syringes needed to treat this area will be determined at the time of assessment. When placing fillers in the temples, it is important that we blend the filler into the cheekbone region for a natural result. An average of 2-6 syringes are to treat this area..
How long does it last?
Temple filler lasts around 6-12 months. Layering filler every 6-8 months can help prolong your results.
What to expect?
Swelling, soreness, minor headache, bruising, bumps, and asymmetry before your filler has completely healed is normal. Temple filler heals completely at about two full weeks. It is unrealistic to expect no bruising after your injectables appointment or to ask how much you will bruise. Everyone bruises and heals differently.
Before & Aftercare?
Before your appointment, it is very important that you avoid blood thinners for at least one week. Avoiding blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen, St. John’s Wort, ginger, garlic, ginkgo biloba, vitamin A, vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oils), and other anti-inflammatory medications will help decrease the amount of bruising after your procedure. Please avoid any alcohol intake for at least 24-hours prior and after your appointment to help decrease the amount of bruising.
After your temple filler treatment, it is important that you avoid touching, massaging, or applying makeup for 6 hours after. Using Arnica, bromelain, or consuming pineapple (if not allergic) helps increase faster healing time due to its anti-inflammatory effects and helping heal bruises faster. If you experience severe weather or dramatic atmospheric pressure changes please be aware that you may experience greater than normal swelling. To avoid additional swelling, sleep with your head elevated for 2-4 days after treatment. If you get a minor headache, applying ice to the temple area for 20 minutes on and 30 minutes off throughout the day can be helpful.
