Natural Beauty

How long does it last?

Cheek filler lasts 6-12 months.

What to expect?

Swelling, soreness, bruising, and asymmetry after your treatment is normal throughout the healing process. Cheek filler takes 2 full weeks to settle completely. It is unrealistic to expect no bruising after your injections appointment or to ask how much you will bruise. Everyone bruises and heals differently.

Before & Aftercare?

Before your appointment, it is very important that you avoid blood thinners for at least one week. Avoiding blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen, St. John’s Wort, ginger, garlic, ginkgo biloba, vitamin A, vitamin E, Omega-3 fatty acids (fish oils), and other anti-inflammatory medications will help decrease the amount of bruising after your procedure. Please avoid any alcohol intake for at least 24-hours prior and after your appointment to help decrease the amount of bruising.

After your cheek filler treatment, it is important that you avoid touching, massaging, or applying makeup for 6 hours after. Using Arnica, bromelain or consuming pineapple (if not allergic) helps increase faster healing time due to its anti-inflammatory effects and helping heal bruises faster. If you experience severe weather or dramatic atmospheric pressure changes please be aware that you may experience greater than normal swelling. To avoid additional swelling, sleep with your head elevated for 2-4 days after treatment.
